Level Up!

We spent the weekend in QC.

March 26, Fri
After my coffee date with Lyn, my friend from my previous job, Francis and I were supposed to watch "Miss U Like Crazy". But we thought we won't be able to make it to Megamall or SM North on time for the 7pm screening so we decided to roam in Makati malls in search for home appliances... wow! :)

March 27, Sat
It's "Blackie's salon day". Blackie is Francis' Altis. We were out before lunch para magpa-change oil. Unfortunately, the place where Francis go for change oil is already closed (and for sale). We then head to another Francis' suki for some car item repair. Then, to Toyota for Francis' complain about the not-so-good work made on Blackie. He probably needs to go back to Casa. Sorry, Blackie, I made u sick. :(

And after all these Blackie items, we went straight to Mega for a good lunch at Savory, movie time and the continuation of  "the search".

March 28, Sun
After church, what else should we do? ...The search is still on! :)

Francis is happpy with Ambassador Orthopedic Mattress. Philippine made c Ambassador. Tangkilikin ang sariling atin! :) But we cannot decide yet on the mattress size we'd get since we were not able to bring the floor plan. So we just deposited  an amount for the item and will just advise the store of our preferred size pag super sure na kami.

We decided to go see again the condo to finalize the bed size. Isa pa, I already forgot the colors of everything inside - the doors, wall, kitchen counter, bathroom sink, etc. We bought a new friend before our condo visit.

Mr. Meter! :)

We were not able to see our actual unit since the key-keeper is not on duty but were able to see model units already furnished. Buti na lang! We're able to confirm that queen size bed would still seat comfortably in the bedspace, that the dining set we liked will match the interior, that sliding door for the cabnet is a very bright idea and that there is a space provided for an oven (which would make our expenses shoot up since we were only considering flat burners. Pero masaya ko. Secret wish ko na mag-oven kami e. pede akong magbake-bake. wow! :))

We met some occupants who already moved in their units and recommended stores for "good buy" items.

ako naman ang BIDA! :)

It was a surprise na maghapon na kami naglalakad at nag-drive pa si Francis pero deadma lang sya sa pagod. It seemed like he's really enjoying "the hunt". Ang saya-saya!
Past 7pm, we still went back to Mega to see the dining set (again!) and check the bedframes (again!) available in Our Home. And sure na kami, we'd have the dining set na sampung beses naming binalikan! :)

March 29, Mon
Morning, Francis sent me a mail from work with link to Our Home website.

Lunch time, he called me asking if I could check items in Our Home, SM North or SM Fairview. Then later thinks it would be better if I go to Trinoma first then he'd pick me up after office and we'd go to SM North.

After lunch, he called me again and said, "Pede nga ung square carpet gamitin natin ka-partner ng round dining table." "Mahal, d ka ba nagtatrabaho?", I asked. To which he responded, "Working with pleasure." nyahahaha!

So, I went to Trinoma just as instructed. hehe! Kaso, isa lang bedframe ang nakita ko sa isang shop and d sya pasado sa taste ko, malamang mas lalo na sa taste nya. Ang masaya lang ay nakakita ako ulit ng Automatic Center and they quoted the oven we want a little cheaper.

Plus, i got this...

original flavor plus banana crunch, sliced almonds and hershey's chocolates
...love, love it! :)

At SM North, naninigas na ung legs ko sa sobrang lakad. At sobrang bumibilib na ko sa energy ni Francis. Highest level talaga! I can't complain much kase sya nga galing pang office at nag-drive e.

Un nga lang hindi masaya si Francis sa Our Home ng North. Mega branch has more items.

We also checked SM appliances. Pero Automatic Center pa rin ang may best prices. Si SM kase 3% discount lang even sa cash purchases and not all items could be given discounts.

March 30, Tues
Today, I'm in Laguna. Francis is at work. It's rest day for the feet but not for the mind...

Francis texted, "Mahal, I am thinking kung double(-sized bed) na lang kunin natin not queen para maluwag sa room? What do u think?"

Tom we'll start "the hunt" again with Mama.

Francis: dati wedding details ngyon mga gamit sa bahay. Lume-LEVEL UP ka na! :D

Our Home - Home Depot - Blims - Forty Winks - Automatic Center - Landmark - Trinoma - SM makati - SM Mega - SM MOA - SM North  ...san pa ba may appliances at furnitures na maganda yet affordable?

Engagement Anniversary

may ganun?!

We went home from Tagaytay with an e-ring on my finger... That was a year ago. Sobrang bilis talaga ng panahon!

detailed kwento is here... http://genecis.weddingannouncer.com/

I immediately looked for my mom the moment we reached home. I put my left hand on my face to show  the "e-ring" on. Then my mom, who did not get it (or acted like she didn't?!), asked, "Ano ba? Nwalan ka na naman ba ng hikaw?" noticing that I'm not wearing my earrings. Then I made it obvious na through exagerated gestures.

Noticing the diamond ring, she said "Kaya rin kitang bilhan nyan!". She turned her back and walked away. Emotera! :D

Promises Made

I kept our hand-written personal wedding vows and told Francis that I'd type, print, laminate and have them posted on our bedroom wall (pag naka-move na kmi) so everyday we'd be reminded of the promises we made that aren't supposed to be broken. And whenever we fight, i'd just finger point the posting on the wall. Sana nga ganun lang ka-simple pag may away. :)

Instead of opening MS Word, I decided to open blogger. I'd type my vows here and just copy in Word for printing purpose. (This is one of the things in my long time pending to do list). Anywayz, here's how our wedding vows go...

Francis to Apple

My Dear Apple,

Time passed by so swiftly that from Day 1 of preparation upto the last minute of shoe-searching, thank God this day has arrived. And expenses will be finally put on hault. I never thought preparing for such an event, bankruptcy will be part of it. Kidding aside, preparing the wedding with you was not an easy task. It's even more complex than any engineering problems I have solved where given, required and solutions can be derived, where formulas can be used to make things easier. But you are entirely different. Your complexity makes it more interesting. Your out-of-this-world tantrums are hard to miss. But inspite of all these challenging experiences, there are two words that come to my mind when I look back. Joy and Peace. I am joyful because I know I will be marrying the right girl and I have an inner peace in my heart that transcends all understanding and those things are happening when I am with you.

One time I remember, I pray to God and ask if He could give me a lifetime partner with these two traits. One, a loving wife. Two, a partner who does not snore at night. I think I have observed those two things well and you exceedingly passed it.

Apple, I just have two requests. If things get rough and waves are high in our married life, please don't throw my Transformer Robots collection away. And second, DON'T GIVE UP. Because I HAVE NO PLANS OF GIVING UP ON YOU. Secondary to God, you are next already. And I'm planning to make it that way for the rest of my life.

You are the one that I am looking for and I'm just glad that the search is over. I cannot promise you a life of bed of roses because we both know thorns are present along the way. But I PROMISE YOU a life God intended it to be. A LIFE THAT IS FULL OF LOVE AND JOY. Thank you for being mine. I LOVE YOU, APPLE, MORE THAN WHAT I COULD SHOW.

Apple to Francis

For years I have been praying. Asking the Lord to prepare me while He is preparing my man.

I asked Him to gear up my guy with a long string of patiencet o bear my hard-headedness and put up with the turmoil that I could put him through. I asked for someone loving, someone who is willing to love not only me but also the people and things that are important to me yet will remain as my faithful partner. I asked the Lord for someone with a good heart who can influence me to be a better person.

And in His perfect time, the Lord made our paths crossed once again and all my prayers have been answered. FRANCIS,  YOU ARE EVERYTHING I HOPED FOR AND FAR BETTER THAN WHAT I HAVE PRAYED FOR.

In appreciation of my special blessing, I VOW to be not just your companion but TO BE YOUR BESTFRIEND, TO SHARE YOUR JOY IN EVERY VICTORY AND TO GIVE YOU A HAND IN TIMES OF SADNESS. I VOW TO BE YOUR HELPMATE, TO CO-LABOR WITH YOU IN BUILDING A HAPPY FAMILY, TO BE YOUR FAITHFUL LOVER AND YOUR CARING WIFE.

Today, in front of our families and close friends, and with GOD as our witness, I TAKE YOU, FRANCIS, AS MY FOREVER COMPANION AND VOW TO SUBMIT TO YOUR LEADERSHIP.

Sabi ko I'll take him as my FOREVER companion. So, hindi ko na sya pede isoli sa nanay nya. :))

Btw, today is our third month of being Husband and Wife.

The Hubby

******
People say: Foreigner ba sya? ...Koreano? Chinese? Japanese? ... the most recent and the funniest, F4 ba sya? :D
Francis say: Hindi po.
I say: Pinoy na Pinoy. Maliit lang po talaga ang mata nya. :)

*****

People say: Mukha syang mabait.
Francis say: Sobra sa bait.
I say: Ganon?!? hehehe! ...he's super bait. :)

 On our wedding day
A close (lukaret) friend who saw him for the 1st time said: Thank you for marrying Apol.
Francis said: :)
I said: You're everything i hoped for and far better than what I prayed for... Thank you for wanting to celebrate all the special days of your life with me.

cutie Kitty

I used to love this little creature... And i think i'm regaining my fondness.
Now, i want really want this...
I saw this necklace in Gift Gate Trinoma. I was thinking of purchasing it when i realize I don't have enough moolah in my wallet (and i already said "goodbye, cards"). I told myself, it's fine. I don't really need this stuff. I'd better buy new tee or sandals (if i have the money) than spend on this one.

But it has been weeks already since I saw the necklace at gusto ko pa rin sya. Myself must've really liked it. Pero it really is impractical buying things like this especially at this time because Francis and I have lots of gastos in the months to come.

Okei, so i'll bury the thought of buying you, li'l cutie. But that's only for now. I know I will have you. :)

Mabuhay! :)

It's half past 3 and i'm still up... and still with no signs that i'd get sleepy in the next few minutes.

I've been thinking the past days of abandoning this page and starting a new one. Even considered saying goodbye to blogger and waving hello to wordpress. But after days of bloghopping and some isip-isip, I thought it's better to keep this one. Afterall, this page has been with me through the many seasons of my life.

But the (previous) look of the page no longer appeals to me. Kahit pa pink pa sya! So i decided to take some time and do some makeover. I was thinking of having a white page with fonts in different shades of pink and some lavender accent (haha! parang ung wedding namin! fuschia pink and lavender :)) But while working on the transformation, i've thought of another theme...

And tadaaaaa!

Inspired by my bora polkadots bikini. hahaha! :) i think i'm into polkadots these days. Even thinking of having a polkadots spaghetti-strapped dress for summer getaway. ewan ko ba!

I'm still thinking of some more things to add on my sidebar and already have thoughts that i'd like to blog about. But for now i have to sleep. The sun may be up in a couple of hours.

See yah again soon!
