My BoY's ToYs

I love you Sabado pati na rin Linggo... magkikita na kze kami ulit! =)
So here comes Saturday night at ayan na c Francis. He was so happy to make kwento on how his day went. At tuwang tuwa sya to show me his new toys. Ang tagal na daw nyang naghahanap nito!

Meet the SheLbY's...

This one is the car in GoNe in 60 seconds, sabi ni Francis. We'll I've never seen that movie. hehe!

SheLBy, the modern version

SUNDAY MORNING, the first thing na ginawa nya is to stare at his new toys. Then, hinimas-himas (anu un manok?!)

Note that the clothe he used as pamunas is from his fave brand of clothing (anyway, labahin naman... pero kahit na!).

SUNDAY NIGHT, when we got home from VWCP Chapter meeting eto na naman sya...

The car is glued in his fingers?

MONDAY NIGHT... gotta take SOME, uh, errr, LOTS of photos!

Just can't get enough of you SHeLBY baby

Gotta store the cars in their boxes. Time to sleep for him and his babies.

But among his finds, this is my fave!

Old school VoLksie, scale: 1:18

E bakit naman hindi e...

This green car is my Daddy's & the toy car was Francis' gift for my dad on Fathers' day. My dad was so happy.

Thank you, Mahal! =)

W V W DaY

June 14, 2009, wasn't an ordinary Sunday for us, especially for my Dadi! It was World Volkswagen Day. My Dad's so excited just like a kid who will go on a field trip. =)

Though already informed, my dad received a text msg from the VW Club, Laguna chapter president regarding event info. Flyers were also handed to him a wk before "the day". There was last minute change in venue though. Since may issue na rin ng H1N1 sa Ateneo (it's ATeneo's 150 years celeb kaya ang saya sana isabay ang celebration ng WVW day), the venue was changed to QC City hall.

Saturday night, Dad oriented Francis and I about the changes and itinerary the following day. And 5:30 it is.

I woke up Sun morning and saw dadi already bihis. While Francis is already taking a bath. past 5 na pala! I hurriedly took a bath after Francis and after dressing up found out that Dadi already left leaving all the staff we'll be selling. Yes, we have items to sell. Ganun pinagpreparan ang VW day, uhm, medyo kulang pa pala ang prep kase may items pa na d umabot. sayang!

D naman tlaga kami pareho ng gagamitin na car but i thought hintayin kami ni dadi at least. Dadi used his Volksie of course while Francis and I used Sportie (c Sportivo) where we stuffed all our items.

On our way, inabot pa namin ni Francis cla dadi. He was with his friend then. Dinaanan nya c Tito Hermie sa hse. Then we arrived at Caltex SLEX at 7am. At kami lang ang VW dun. Sabi ko, "Dadi, naiwan na yata tayo." Sabi nya, "Hindi. 7-8 ng usapan d ko lang cnabi sa inyo." hahaha! Anyway, it's good na rin kase pagdating ng iba nakapag-start na kami magbenta.

Where's my volks? hindi sya kasama. still have some jobs pa na gagawin sa kanya.

It was almost 9am when we started our travel to QC. Syempre sa huli kami ng convoy kze foreigner c Sportie in the group of the cute wheeled toys. One cutie had a prob pa along EDSA but still made it to the venue around lunch time.

PeNDoNG!
lots of volksies here

...there

...and everywhere

We had a good time selling stuff. We've seen and had a chat with lots of different peeps. May Pastor, may Architech, may Lawyer who looks more of a body builder, my mag-jowa, may mag-asawa, mag-nanay, mag-lola, may simpleng Volks enthusiast, gf / asawa ng volks enthusiast na napasama lang at marami pang iba mapa-matanda, bata, lalaki, babae at iba pang sexualidad.

There was an Indian guy who bought a cap. We also had a small chat with him about, what else, Volks and then work. When he learned that Francis is connected with a company in Makati, he asked, "So this is just for fun?". Francis smiled. While I answer, "This is for Fun and for FunDS. We're getting married on Dec." The Indian guy laughed and wished us the best.

After a day of hardwork, we had XXXXX sales. Figures showing how the guys out there are so into VW they would buy all (or any) stuff with VW logo... which is good for business. =) Actually, there were other peeps na shirts din ang items. Talk about competition. But i'm happy everytime na nakikita ko ung items na suot na ng mga bumili.

Here are the items we brought. We still have some stocks which we'll bring in the next VW activities. If also interested with the items, just leave a comment or send me a mail at genevieve.atienza@gmail.com =)

There are three choices of shirt messages:
(1) Enjoy the fun
Ride On... Volkswagen

(2) Feel the Road

Have a Volkswagen

(3) You'll never know what you're missing 'til you ride Volkswagen

The last one was the most opted slogan. It's my personal favorite, too.
Those txts and also the idea of selling VW items, by the way, are my Dad's ideas.

In the afternoon, Holy Mass was held under the trees and blessing of volksies and their owners followed.

At the end of the day, we brought home learnings from our pagbebenta experience which we shared with Mama. And our eyes were so busog with the VW eye candies.

F1 vs ApPLe

Since I came back from Dubai, Francis spends weekends in our place. (He lives in QC, I live in San Pablo,Laguna) That's the only time we could work on our preps (physically) together.

Last Sunday, was supposedly a working Sun for us.
Task: missalette.

But since we chose to go with my parents and see our newly painted volksie, we didn't have time to accomplish our task in the morning. Afternoon, became a sleeping time. And night was still a rest time.

Okei fine.

It's Sunday. He said we should rest. But i was hoping to have chikahan moments with him. Ang kaso his eyes were so glued to F1 racing he can't even respond to my questions.

Hhhhhmmmmppp!

My Pag-uwi Experience

I wasn't able to board on 3:45 am flight!

I forgot to mention in my previous blog that I tried agad self check-in (u use the touch screen monitor to log ur e-ticket number, choose ur seat & take ur boarding pass) as soon as I reached the Emirates staff area at the airport (No, I'm not an Emirates staff but beneficiaries also go in the same room). The system did not accept my number. i tried 3 times baka lang kase may mali somewhere sa pag-input ko.

Then my dumating na isang kabayan staff who assisted me. she too tried to log my number but was not successful. then she asked, confirmed naman ticket mo, d ba?

Huh?!?
i said, "No. i'm using ID 50 (50% discounted)."

She mans one of the counters pala. Cguro galing syang breaktime then saktong pabalik sa pwesto nya when I saw her. Inuna nya ako. Thank you, ate! =)

I normally use naman kase the self check in thing. akala ko pwede palagi. cguro ung mga previous na uwi ko maluluwag talaga ang flight kaya naman I had no trouble at all.

Then un nga, the flight is so puno. The staff said, we (medyo madami din kami using ID 50, some ID 90) have no chance. I took it as a joke and i didn't move an inch. but when I saw them closing the counters, sabi ko "Ay, wala na nga." Hello, bakit naman kase sila magjo-joke d ba?!? Ewan ko ba sa sarili ko. hehe!

I called Francis.

I called Mom.

I called my brother who said, "Loka ka! e hindi naman confirm ang ticket mo bakit ka magse-self check in?!" Sorry na. Hindi ko nga alam e. Then he told me to go back sa flat to rest. sabi ko i'll just wait sa airport kase I have to make pila again at 7am para sa 10:30 am flight.

Then I roam at the airport, was able to buy my Dad's bilin na shaver (sa Pinas ko na sana bibilhin e) and took a nap ng nakaupo. At 6am (kahit pa sinabi nilang 7am nga e), may nag-initiate na ng pila. I lined up na rin and was number 4 in queue. Then super hintay moment na naman!

Then one of the staff, daughter of (Tita) one of the waitlisters, said that we should go at the outside counter since line for the waitlisters is there. Ako naman and the other girl na nakachikahan ko na sa pila went there and later agreed na maghiwalay kami to wait and see kung saan tatawagin ang names namin.

Para kaming college students waiting for our instructors to announce our grades. I had a feeling i'll get a seat but wouldn't want to be over confident kase that's the same feeling i had sa 3:45 am flight pero d naman ako nakasakay! hehe! i formulated plans na rin just in case the 10:30 am flight is too full to accomodate me.

Ung mga kaibigan kong may confirmed tickets ng 10:30 saw me and asked why i'm still at the airport. hehe! nag-abot pa tuloy kami. a day before, i told them mauuna lang ako sa kanila makatapak sa lupa ng Pinas... hindi pala. tsk, tsk.

D nila alam ganito inaabot natin." ...Well, that is the price we pay. Remember we only paid half!

At 9:45 am we were given boarding pass... Salamat!

At the AiRPoRT

just trying 2 bl0g while waiting in the airp0rt. Still h0peful that i'll get a seat in the 3:45am flight. Im using ID 50 as Kuya's beneciary... Lucky me? Ei, it means my ticket is n0t c0nfirmed. And i have to wait til check in time is (alm0st) over f0r the Emirates staff to announce if they could still accomodate the waitlisters. H0pefully, h0pefully, h0pefully.

I hope everything im leaving here will be just fine.

I can feel that Mr. Antok is already saying 'hello' to me.
